Summary: Abby & Gibbs have a standing Monday morning get together

Abby adjusted her magnifying glasses and looked at the clock. 0655. Gibbs would be arriving any minute for their usual Monday morning ritual.

Looking once more at her table, she saw that she had everything she would need laid out and ready – all she was lacking was the man himself.

No sooner had the thought formed in her brain when Gibbs rounded the corner carrying the second of many coffees in one hand and in the other hand the first of many Caf-POWs.

“Good morning Gibbs” chirped Abby

“Morning Abs” replied Gibbs after handing her Caf-Pow.

“Got one for me today?” she questioned as she took a long sip and waited for the caffeine to hit.

“Got three” answered Gibbs with a slight smirk

Abby squealed and jumped off her stool “Three? You must have had a busy weekend”

“Yup” was the only answer forthcoming so Abby reached out her hands and said “Give me”

Gibbs did as he was told and stretched out his hands palms up so that Abby could begin her examination.

Talking while working, she said “You know gloves would solve this problem for you.”

The only reply she got was a grunt, so she continued “Seriously Gibbs, you should consider gloves”

She felt him flinch just the slightest as she extracted the splinter before he answered “I can’t feel the wood with gloves on and I have to be able to feel it. Building a boat is a hands-on task and I need to get my hands on it”

Abby giggled as she finished up the job “Well, you’re getting a hand full of splinters that’s for sure”

Gibbs grinned and kissed her forehead “Thanks. I will see you later”

Abby accepted the kiss with glee and answered “No problemo bossman”
