Summary:  Tony deals with the events of the last four months. 

 

Tony DiNozzo had to admit that looking back he would have done things differently.  Hell, he might have even said no to the special assignment.

 

When he saw who was in the folder and what they were accused of, he thought he could deal with it.  And when he looked into the Sec Nav’s eyes and agreed to “whatever it takes” he thought he understood what that would entail and ultimately demand.

 

He now knows he had no freaking clue.

 

 He had no idea the price would ultimately be paid in blood and the cost to himself – both personally and professionally was higher than he cared to pay.

 

Looking back at those four months, he still didn’t have a clear understanding of how it all went down and of his part in it.  Sometimes it seemed crystal clear and then he would wake up and realize that the clarity was just a dream – reality was something murkier, less defined.

 

He tried to keep on keeping on and putting on his happy, the devil may care face – because that’s who he was and that’s what he did, but even Gibbs, the master of deal with it in your own way and in your own time, was starting to drop some not so subtle hints that he needed help – of a professional nature.

 

There was really only person that he could talk to about this.  Someone who could be objective – who didn’t know the players.  Someone who had his best interest at heart.  Someone who wasn’t emotionally invested in him.  Someone that he wasn’t emotionally invested in. 

 

He dug through this desk drawer until found her card, Dr. Rachel Cranston and dialed her number without hesitation.  He was ready to talk.

well I had to keep it in as much in canon as possible. We don't know a whole lot - just that Tony is hurting and talks to Dr. Cranston.

Clearly I have to write scene 6 tonight to make Tony feel better.

I am just thankful that Kouneli nibbed on something. This is the only thing I have written (beside a drabble) in weeks.

I was starting to get worried.

My writing has been into forced overdrive since I slacked for 3 months ... I think the frantic nature of writing is what got my bunny ... she cracked under the pressure.

That and I didn't get an NCIS fix on TV last night cause it was the icky crazy Abby episode.
