blueeyedgirl83 got my thoughts a whirling

A comment made by [livejournal.com profile] blueeyedgirl83  got my thoughts a whirling - and not in a good way.  I won’t bore you with the details, but let me pose this question to you:

Do you think all the talk of weddings and marriage (8.19 Tell All) and the revelation of Tony’s past engagement and his desire to be happily married (8.22 Baltimore) coupled with MW’s comments in the TV Guide interview concerning the way he sees the Tony/EJ relationship is perhaps foreshadowing something?

[info]blueeyedgirl83 you may be onto something….. urggh!

I admit I haven't read the interview, what did MW have to say about the Tony/EJ relationship? Should I be worried?

Ugh. Just ... ugh.

Wondering how the antis, who have insisted that they want no romance on this show but have inexplicably embraced this chick (because she's not Ziva and they have that insane hatred for Ziva & Cote) can even begin to defend this.

I seriously wonder if Weatherly is doing an entirely different show from the one I've seen. *shakes head in disgust*

Oh no ... now i'm imagining a botched proposal by Tony with EJ letting him down really badly.

orry I put bad thoughts in your head LOL
I'm just thinking up worst case scenarios to hopefully soften the blow of what will actually happen on the show ;)

All kidding aside, I really really hope that the writers didn't decide to go that route. As a Tony/Ziva fan it would really painfull and heartbreaking, of course.

Also, it would be a completely WTF moment. Sure, we've been told both in interviews and on the show (Tony conversation with Ziva at the bar in Two-Faced) that he likes EJ as more than a sexual partner, that he understands her and he can talk to her, but were we actually shown any of that? (Ironically, the writers had Tony tell the he likes talking to EJ, then proceded to show us two honest, mature conversations between Tony/Ziva and none between Tony/EJ...)

As for MW interview, I don't see what he's talking about at all. He probably has a better understanding of the Tony character that I have, but if what he says about EJ and the Tony/EJ relationship is what the writers wanted to convey to the audience, than they failed big time.
