just more of the same in the never ending ship wars. I grow weary of all the negativity in the fandom these days.

I come to LJ & DW to fangirl - to enjoy my show and my ship. I can't do that in my real life - so I come here to do it.

I don't care who anyone ships (or doesn't ship). I just want us all to have fun and enjoy our show together.

Sometimes when I read comments left in the various forums or blogs, I don't know whether to laugh at the insanity or run and hide from it.

I really need to stop reading them period... LOL

oh yeah I hear you. I've seen people go crazy in the Star Trek fandom. And sadly, I've seen people bullied into leaving in the Supernatural fandom. Most of the time I am amused by people but when it comes to that, you're right, it can be horrifying.

Humm... good question, and I must confess I'm getting pretty bored of all this "crazed" and "soberain" opinions people have. Sometimes I wonder if some people realize they're just characters in a TV show. Ok, you have your freedom to write about them whatever you want, because imagination is something the government can't take from us... but, writing opinions about "characters"... and I'm not talking about the actors... no, people write opinions about characters in such a powerful and angsty way that I start to think if they even get out of their houses -_-´... everytime I write a three line post on Spoilers for Ncis, I receive a four paragraph comment trying to brainwash me and impose their ideas about the show.... can't they just relax?? This fandom world is shocking and somewhat amusing to me and I'm grateful I'm not that into deep...lol... I don't "breath" the characters and the shows as if they're a real thing... I have never imagined there would be people so "angry" and with so much "hatred" towards Cote's character because of this and that... seriously, its a CHARACTER! TONY is a CHARACTER... he doesn't exist!!! Let's just enjoy Tv shows, and for 40 minutes we enter their lives and root for them, and cry for them and laugh with them... then, we turn off the TV and get back to real life. This is what I'm trying to say, in Tv and in Cinema we leave the real world behind and forget our daily troubles, that's entertainment, but we got to understand there's a line. I don't know if there are fandom communities in Portugal, but - with no disrespect - americans are insanely beautiful in that manner :)

Seriously, I come on LJ to have fun in my fandom and with my ship - not to argue, debate and justify.

I really think that those who engage in such activitives really need to take a step back and re-evaluate how involved they are in fiction.
