I was watching NCIS fanvideos on Youtube for a NCIS_Verse challenge and found this video made by my friend ryalin1  and it perfectly explains my choice for best story arc.

 

This arc actually kicked started by obsession with NCIS…..

Hands down agree. The Ari arc was well done, both in terms of acting (Gibbs' obsession, Rudolph as Ari, and the eventual effect Ari had on the team.) Sadly, they've never been able to replicate the sheer subtlety of an arc like this - anymore, its IN YOUR FACE! when they try to do "arcs" and the ultimate impact of modern arcs is always anti-climatic (or are simply not well thought out, ala the Somalia stuff.)

Ironically, I generally liked the show more after this arc was over (I consider the Ari arc done as of "Kill Ari" where it transitions into the Ziva/Mossad arc, which wasn't and isn't anywhere nearly as well written.)
