Day 22 Saddest Character Death

This is a hard one for me – the deaths that one immediately thinks of are:

Kate Todd – I picked up on NCIS right at the start of the 3rd season, so I missed the shock of Kate’s death – by the time I got around to watching the actual episode I already knew what had happened and I had never really bonded with Kate – so can’t really say I was saddened by her death.

Jenny Shepherd – I loved Jenny, but the whole Frog arc turned me against her – she turned into a heartless, selfish, manipulative woman/director who cared only for her personal agenda while sacrificing her friendship with Gibbs and throwing Tony under the proverbial bus.  When she died, my heart broke for the old Jenny – for that Jenny? Not so much

Mike Franks – I liked Franks, but I didn’t really have an emotional attachment to him – my sadness at his death was more a part of how sad Gibbs was and the affect his death would have on our fearless leader – if not for that, I would not have cared too much.

Michelle Lee – Didn’t phase me one bit - didn't like her -

Paula Cassidy – I really liked her – she is the only woman besides Ziva that I liked with Tony – she was fun, she was real, I could relate to her – so, even though she was like a ship passing thru the NCIS night – I am going to say her death made me the saddest.

Actual death or metaphorical death? If its actual, then ... hmm ... I can't actually think of any I consider ultra sad. Like you, I really liked Paula - the actress has been one of my favorites since way back in the Earth-2 days, and possibly as far back as the short-lived Captain Power Saturday morning series - so seeing her die was kind of a bummer. Kate's death, for me, was shocking but not sad - liked the actress, hated the character in season 2. Jenny was the same - liked her at first, loathed her at the end. Michelle was just stupid - I hated that mole plot and thought it was very poorly written, although the last scene where Gibbs is talking to the sister & Ziva was getting teary-eyed was moving. Franks could have lived or died and I wouldn't care. So I guess actual death would probably have to be Paula.

If its metaphorical death, then I'll have to say all of the main characters, but especially Ziva. I miss the character evidently died either in a Moroccan night club or in Somalia.

That's because they're long, slow and excruciating. At least with the others, they're gone and can't be messed with more.

sigh
