NCIS Season 9 Spoilers - What we know so far...

I am a spoiler addict.  I admit it.

I have a love/hate relationship with them.  I go trolling for them and and then proceed to read everyone's comments about them (generally not a good idea).

More times than not - they (the spoilers and the comments) end up making me mad or sad or both.

I guess it's all part of the addiction - you know it's bad for you, but you just can't quit.

Under the cut, is a synopsis of what we have learned thus far about Season 9.  I must say I am on the fence and I am not feeling alot of Tiva love.

 

Where We Left Off with the Season 8 finale:

·         The team found and killed Jonas Cobb, aka the Port-to-Port Killer.

·          E.J. Barrett (guest star Sarah Jane Morris) removed a microchip from the arm of one of her dead agents.

·          The new Secretary of the Navy (guest star Matt Craven) gave Tony a top-secret mission to find someone who had been leaking NCIS Intel.

 Season 9Opener

·         The new season — premiering Tuesday, Sept. 20, at 8/7c — will pick up four months later, and then flash back to events that transpired since the finale.

·         the episode will be shown in real time - in September we will  look back to May, and then jump through the mission Tony was on

·         do not miss the first five minutes of the show, because it is going to start with a bang

·         we will get the answer to the microchip

·        we will get the answer to who was in that photograph

·         Somebody is going to die.

·         We meet the potentially recurring character of FBI Agent Casey Stratton (Scott Wolf); who will play an important role in the season opener. Who he is and how he influences the NCIS team will come in due time, but we will get some unexpected surprises.

 

Spoilers Specific to Tony

 

·         He goes through the mill

·         Wendy Makenna will return as NCIS shrink Dr. Rachel Cranston to help him get in touch with his feelings.

Spoilers Specific  to McGee

·         funny lady Lily Tomlin will be guest-starring as McGee’s grandmother, Penelope McGee

·          Penelope is a scientist, and she’s very sharp

·         She was an admiral’s wife for many decades, and she’s the mother of McGee’s father

·         They’re a military family, and they’re very science-minded, so they’re not overly emotional, but  that changes.

·         Tim will experience a kind of a breakthrough, Penelope makes a connection with him, and they both come to a new place.

·         It’s a really fun, big, McGee-centric episode, one that is not just about family but has a procedural aspect as well.

Spoilers Specific to Abby:
 Abby will learn an impactful secret about her past

 

Spoilers Specific to Ziva:

·         Someone from her past who we haven't met before is coming forward.  Ray will probably come back halfway through the season, and they will intersect.

·         Ziva will be dealing with a Middle Eastern family and the matriarch of the family connects with her in a really interesting, personal way

Nothing specific on Gibbs, Ducky, Palmer, Vance
