My son got a new bike as he is going off to university in the fall.  He will be living a couple miles off campus with a couple of room mates so he got a bike to save on gas and the hassle of parking in the commuter parking lot.

It is such a beautiful day, the sun is shining and you can almost feel summer right around the corner even though spring has just begun.

I can't remember the last time I was on a bike (a stationary one doesn't count), so I think I will take it out for a quick spin through the country side.

It should be easy- right?  It should come right back to me - right?  Just like riding a bike - right?

Dang, I hope I don't kill or seriously injure myself.

returned, safe and sound with only sore muscles and a slight sunburn/windburn - all in all - a successful first attempt at the bike thing. I will probley do it again.

Good.... and i'm going to go engage in some exercise in a minute. I'm going to try running.
