I am still digesting this episode and will possibly give it another watch tomorrow.

NOT, because it was a great episode and I want to see it again, but to clear up some of the WTH? moments.

Easy stuff first:
I loved Palmer and his future father in law.
Loved that Palmer finally stood up to him (and that FIL respected him for it)
Loved the snuggle between Palmer and Breena - I just want to huggle them both.  How adorable are they?

Questions:
Does Abby only work part time?  I mean we hardly ever see her anymore - what's up with that?
Since when does Ziva & McGee know about Wendy?

WTH? moments:
Ziva seriously encouraging Tony to go out to brunch with Wendy?  I am thinking this doesn't bode well for Ray's return & promised proposal.
Tony mentioning Wendy's snicker doodles? meh! (yes, that is my Tiva shipping talking smack)
Ziva's matrix gun fight - and she ends up killing(?) the guy with her bare hands? Well, maybe he's not dead - she could have put the sleeper hold on him.
Why didn't Gibbs check on Ziva after the baby was delivered? Was he that confident that she would come out the victor in the gun battle against two armed Russian mercenaries? Guess so.
The cookie interrogation scene?  I really don't know whether to laugh or cry- crack anyone?

Tony/Gibb's basement scene:
awww - Gibb's bought a bike for Amira (sweet)
Gibb's accepted a dinner invitation for Tony?  He knew Tony wasn't going to have plans for Christmas? Assume much? Something out of Tibbs fanfic?
The "talk" kinda confused me and this is where I really need to watch again -
was Gibb's implying that Tony screwed up twice with Wendy or was he implying that Tony screwed up twice by picking the job over his chance for a family?

On the plus side:
Tony is realizing that he wants more out of life than the job and that he doesn't want to grow up to be Gibbs after all.
Tony dismissed the idea of another go with Wendy (and I hope this is the last we hear of her - I hope he doesn't reconsider his reconsideration)

After watching this episode, I would like to see the EJ/Ray episodes sooner rather than later.  They may help clear up some of the muddy water that I had to wade through with this episode - or it could only contaminate them more.

I don't like Wendy ... but I want her snickerdoodles now. I LOVE those things.

I love the cookie interrogation. It's like his gum interrogation in Baltimore.

I don't know wth Gibbs was implying with Tony screwing up twice.

I think Ziva would rather take 2 Russian gunmen that a woman in labor. She seemed all to happy to trade.

But I can't help but think that they're gonna need to leave more then a few dollars on the register now that Ziva and her guns have had their fun.

Dinner at Leyla's? I'm fixing this one right now ... it was to Tibbs for me ... about 800 words into a fic ... just about done with it. Will probably get it up Thursday since I'm going to watch LA now and tomorrow will be chaos since it's my last work day before "the move".

Agreed with all of it.

It was the fanfic episode. Like the writers are reading ffn and thought they'd parody it.

Gibbs broke his own rule.

Well I don't know what Gibbs was on about. So when you work it out, tell me please.

This episode was just so God-awful for me. And did NO ONE even feel bad about the Captain that died, trying to protect his old friend and her unborn child??? Cuz, she sure as hell didn't seem too broken up about it! Honest to God, I think "Tony and Ziva" are done after last night. My hopeful, shippy heart wants to think that she was pushing him towards Wendy, just to make sure his heart was really all with her, but the scene didn't feel that way. And that crap in the basement? Who in the hell were those two pod people??? They never speak to each other THAT MUCH, let alone with those tones!!! Unrealistic Tibbs, indeed. I'm rather disappointed in MH. I know MW has thought that his character assassination has been funny and he enjoys the comedy, but I really expect more from Mark. And being a producer, and having enough sway to dictate who the show-runner is...he should damn well be able to steer the writers towards character continuity and GROWTH, not alien abduction. Bah humbug. I'm never re-watching this episode.
