DW Questions

Anyone else having issues with comments not showing up in your inbox or being really delayed?  I saw some replys to some of my comments to friends on their posting, but it hasn't hit my inbox yet and it's been 2 hours since the reply was posted according to the time stamp.

I am also noticing that edits to entries don't seem to update very quickly.  Often I have to log out of my journal and log back in before I can see the edit.  Anyone experienced this?

And lastly, when trying to edit a DW post from semagic I get an error message that the server link is broken - I don't get this message when I edit from semagic to LJ.  This is the first edit I have attempted since starting with semagic on DW so don't know if this an on-going issue or just something that cropped up today.

Any advice would be appreciated.

I was having that server link is broken thing happen when I was editing my layout last night. I think they are trying to get a handle on all the new traffic and updating their servers.. They did open comm imports yesterday so DW has a lot of traffic going on right now from what I have seen. I suspect it will fix itself shortly.

I got a bunch of messages this morning that said stuff about my user pics some entries and my profile not importing but they are there when I go look *blink* so I think they are just sorting out all the new stuff.

Yeah, I'm in the process of trying to import my h50bingo community while I have a jittery rat running all over me like a race course *sighs*

I recall when I imported my journal last week that it took like 17 hours to get it all over here.

I got my comm in really quickly last night before the announcement that it was up and running was seen by a lot of people and it only took an hour.

I'd hate to be doing it today.

Yeah I should have done my fandom comms last night too but I wasn't thinking. I'm at 45 minutes now on the entries phase.

My user pics didn't import because I had to many at LJ to import. :(
They send notices when it doesn't work, but they try it multiple times, so that may be why you got messages on things that did work.

I didn't think I even clicked the import user pics option.. But I got like 3 notifications that stuff didn't import.. my profile being one of them.. But it is still there that I can see.. so whatever.

I'm tempted to delete out icons at lj till I only have 100 and import them instead of reloading them here. But I haven't decided yet.

I thought about that last night but I am kind of having fun getting all new icons.. and bringing over just a few of the old tried and true ones from over there.

thats what I did and then I reloaded them fresh at DW (I now have spots for 250 icons - so I will be shopping for some shiny new ones)

HAH!!Kim imported the Fringeverse comm and since I am an administrator for the comm I got the notifications too!! HA! So it wasn't my personal journal.. It was Fringeverse!

I'm noticing the comments are taking a while to come up.

Other than that ... no. But I'm not using semagic ... so it may have something to do with that.

But my guess is the comm importing and such is hitting hard.

As others have said, I'm sure the comm imports are what's slowing things down generally. They're very responsive, so I'd expect they'll add another server very soon to fix that problem.

I have no answers on the Semagic question since I haven't tried editing through Semagic yet over here. I rarely do it on LJ either - usually just edit the entry directly on LJ instead of going back to Semagic to do it. I don't trust the RT Editor anymore so I do all my edits in HTML, and I use WYSIWYG on Semagic. If it was something more major, I might try using Semagic to edit, but for the minor stuff I don't bother. Sorry I can't be more helpful...
