blueeyedgirl83 got my thoughts a whirling

A comment made by [livejournal.com profile] blueeyedgirl83  got my thoughts a whirling - and not in a good way.  I won’t bore you with the details, but let me pose this question to you:

Do you think all the talk of weddings and marriage (8.19 Tell All) and the revelation of Tony’s past engagement and his desire to be happily married (8.22 Baltimore) coupled with MW’s comments in the TV Guide interview concerning the way he sees the Tony/EJ relationship is perhaps foreshadowing something?

[info]blueeyedgirl83 you may be onto something….. urggh!

Well that's a possibility.

[Bad username or site: rigil_kent) @ livejournal.com] doesn't think EJ will die and says if she does that sets us up next season for angsty Tony going over the 'was she the one', kind of thing. And if Ray also died . . . That gives us both Tony and Ziva needing shoulders to cry on. I do hope not, I can't see any evidence that Tony and EJ have got that close.

Oh, indeed. And what actors say isn't canon nor taken in the context of canon. I'm just sure it's going to fizzle out one way or another.

I want it to be over, at the same time I fear what might happen.

The one thing I'm positive about (but would *love* to be proven wrong) is that despite all the shocks/surprises/edge of seat we've been promised, we won't get it.

Cynic, moi? You bet *g*

Thank you very much - it's actually one I made myself.

Timmy and Bert - so lovely. I'm glad you like it.

Yeah ... I don't think she's going to die, but I'm leaning more and more toward her career basically being kaput because she knows more about the P2P killer than she wants to admit. I posted my theories about that on my LJ...

I think its just sad that Weatherly has gotten so excited about this chick and yet, so many fans can't stand her...

Sorry I messed your name up - I'm typing at an awkward angle at the moment, so my fingers don't seem to want to go where I want them to/expect them to.

That's an interesting thought, that she knows more than she's letting on. I'll toddle over there and have a look.

I agree. But at the same time I know there are a lot that really like her. Although whether they like her because she's 'her' or whether they like her because she isn't Ziva I wouldn't like to say.

The thing I've noticed about a lot of people who like her - and yeah, this is entirely anecdotal and not worth the digital paper its printed on - is that they are now defending everything they insisted they say they didn't want to see with Tony/Ziva. Office romance. Check. Said romance interfering with the job. Check. Constantly being bludgeoned by said romance instead of it just be a background element. Check. Utter lack of chemistry between characters involved in romance. check.

So yeah. I remain convinced that most of the people who "like" her are people who simply don't like Ziva or don't like Tony/Ziva.

YMMV

"Your Mileage May Vary."

*Looks shifty*

Actually my mileage agrees totally with your mileage.

Interestingly, I have also seen several people who loved her in the first episode now express dislike of her because of the relationship she has with Tony as it's interfering with their ship (I'm sure you can guess what it is).
