Can I just say they both look especially hot in uniform - and it appears that Ziva is the superior officer - that certainly won't sit well with a certain group of people.
Yes she is... and I wonder if it's a "transfer" or "translation" of her rank from her time in the Israeli military as all Israeli citizens are required to complete at least two years service and as a member of Mossad, she likely did more than that.
I'm going to weigh in on the rank thing, simply to say that as a Petty Officer, Tony would get to hear a lot more scuttlebutt than Ziva would as an officer. Scuttlebutt that might be useful to solving the case. So, in my mind, he's got the more important job here, never mind the niceties of rank. *sticks tongue out*
the ranking thing never would have made it onto my radar until some folks jumped on it with the "poor whipping boy Tony" and "Princess Ziva" comments...
And yes, Tony is looking very good lately - I like that his age is starting to show a bit - the wrinkles around his eyes, etc. He is like a fine wine - only improves with age. I think he is more handsome now than he was in his younger days. But, then maybe that is my age showing.
Heh, if they're sending Ziva undercover as a lieutenant and Tony as a petty officer, they are going to get busted for fraternisation, based on the 3rd pic.
BuT not because I object to her pretending to be of higher rank.
I don't like it because it makes me wonder: who has their six if they've been separated afloat?
I mean, if Tony's pretending to be a petty officer in Engineering and if Ziva's pretending to be a lieutenant in security, they wouldn't be associating with each other.
Thoughts from someone who no longer watches the show:
Cote is unbelievably hot in uniform and is, truthfully, about the right age for an O-3 (Navy lieutenant, Army/AirForce/Marine captain.)
My disinterest in DiNozzo is well known but I shake my head at their decision to make him (it appears) an E-5 (PO2C.) He's 40 - he's too freaking old to be an E-5, unless he's intentionally under cover as a failed NCO. By age, he should be a CPO at the very least. McGee would have been closer to the correct age to act like an E-5, but based on what I've read about this season, he's not really in the show anymore ...
Not sure about the Navy, but should they actually be wearing their covers (hats) inside? I know the Army doesn't do that.
Would be interesting to see if they actually throw in real Naval jargon - if you thought regular English confused Ziva, I'd love to see her react to being told to avoid the goat locker...
