I think lightning just hit our air conditioning units - both of them.

Not good.  Not good at all.  

Hubby is now in a foul mood.  He gets cranky when he gets hot and I think it's gonna hot in here really fast, and who knows how much it is going to cost to fix them.  

We better get some good rain out of this... just saying.

Hope you can get the units fixed quickly, and that it doesn't break the bank.

All we've had today is spitting. They keep promising rain, and it is overcast, but...well, I'll believe it when I see it.

At least it's cooled down significantly, but the flowers still need rain.

Boo. Not cool. Hope it's fixed quickly! Heat is never fun.

We got rain here but not enough. Living in the country we have well water from a natural spring and without rain we don't know how much longer we'll have water.

we had spring feed well water growing up and I remember a couple of times my parents had to pay to have water hauled in because the spring dried up and them complaining about the expense. I hope it doesn't come to that for you.

Any update on the state of your a/c units?

One repairman and $188 later - they are as good as new. Looks like the lightning strike fried some wiring, that was replaced and viola.... Cool air.
