I have to admit that I am now officially more excited about the new season of Homeland than I am about the new season of NCIS. *ducks Gibbs slap*

I never did finish the first season of that show. They're good episodes, but I just can't stay interested.

I was riveted every week. I am usually pretty good at predicting where a story line is headed, but this show has so many turns, loops and blinds that it keeps me guessing.

Still don't know if Brody is a good guy or a bad guy.

I think for me the show is just to "real", the events in it to current with what's going on in the world.

oh, I understand that perfectly. Furthermore, if you don't don't watch every week it is very easy to get lost because of all the plot and character twists (heck, sometimes it's hard when you do watch every week).

My husband is in your camp - he thinks it is too real and doesn't like to watch it, he says if he wants to know about that kind of stuff, he will watch the news, but the realism and relevancy is part of what draws me to it.

I keep telling myself I'll finish watching the first season but I haven't gotten around to it. I am interested to see if Brody is a good guy or a bad guy, because it is a good story line ... it's just to real for me to fall in love with.

I am sure I will be posting about it this season, so you will be able to decide if it is worth keeping up with.

I think another thing that I like about it is there are no ships to fall in love with and while I like the characters, I am not emotionally involved with them - for me this show is all about the story telling and it is a nice break from NCIS and other crime dramas which is mostly what I watch.
