Another reason to be glad we migrated to DW. LJ shuts down US offices

This surprises you? I'm certain that if they thought they could get away with it, SUP would completely close down the US version of LJ. They don't really want it nor has any of their recent design changes really support the US/English speaking demographics.

I am going to be copying ~a lot~ of my stuff over to DW and/or AO3. I really need to do this now before they do shut down the US LJ. Thanks for letting me know.

I'm only using LJ as a backup anyway at this point - very glad we migrated when we did.

Thinking seriously of backing up to AO3 instead and getting rid of LJ entirely, although I still have friends over there...maybe this will finally convince them to move?

LJ is only a back up at this point.

I would close it if not for the fact I have like two friend on there who just won't move to DW =[
