Got pulled over for speeding - 5 mph over the limit - are you kidding me?

Luckily, I got off with a warning.... note to self - SLOW DOWN ----

Way back when I was active duty Army, I was stationed at Fort Benning, GA, and got stopped by a MP for doing 1 mph over the speed limit (25.) I literally looked at him like he was insane and he let me go with just a warning. I figured he knew I'd contest the living hell out of that, especially since I was driving an old Mustang where the speedometer could easily be off by 2 mph.

I was doing 50 in a 45 zone - on a rural road with no traffic - nobody around but cows....

just glad he felt compassionate and gave me a warning - seriously can not afford a speeding ticket right now....

Wow, around here if you're on a highway they don't even blink unless you're doing around 30 kph over the limit. Everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, does at least 120 in a 100 zone, cops included.

I once heard an American comedian at Yuk-Yuk's comment that up here the speed limits are just estimates! Ha!
