Summary: McGee decides to scratch his seven year itch

Seven years is a long time - 2,554 days to be exact.

There wasn't one of those days that he didn't think of him at least once for the briefest of seconds.  Fathers can do that to a son.

It was always there, that niggling at the back of his brain.  The itch that wouldn't be scratched for fear of breaking the scab that time had so
callously formed.  Did he also have an itchy scab?

She said it was time they spoke, and she could be more bothersome than a persistent itch.

If not now, then when?
