Actually, I am thinking this is exactly what I need to get me out of my motivational slump and back into the driver's seat so to speak.

Date: 2012-01-03 05:01 am (UTC)My chapters usually wind up at between 1500-2000 words, so that's only 5 or 6 chapters to reach 10,000 total. I'm using that as my basis for designing a story arc that'll fit. The story will have to be a little less 'epic' than ROE! Hee!
I'm thinking of using the pacing of a typical 1-hour episode as a guide. There are usually several 'beats' you can identify in each segment between commercial breaks. If they can do a whole case from start to finish in about 5 segments, so can we, right?

It's great that we are all doing it - it's like having a built in moral support / cheerleading section.
